Environmental Poilicy

JP Stone Ltd has developed our own in house Environmental Management System (EMS), which is designed to continuously improve our environmental performance.

  • We aim to adopt environmental standards at least equal to legal requirements and to integrate environmental considerations into its decision making in such areas as transport and energy requirements.
  • Consideration is given to the substitution of polluting substances with "greener" alternatives wherever practicable. Steps have been taken to minimise dust, noise and vibration issues.
  • We are FSC® certified under Chain of Custody certificate: TT-CoC-003111 and PEFC™ certified under certificate: BMT-PEFC-0832
  • Wherever practicable we shall purchase timber products from well managed forests by organisations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
  • All of our preferred suppliers are FSC and PEFC certified.
  • We are always looking to improve our systems of recycling, reclaiming or reusing waste generated by our operations.
  • When making investment decisions, we use energy efficient options for lighting, heating and ventilation wherever possible and train staff to minimise energy use.
  • We seek to minimise the use of packaging materials and recycle discarded packaging and paper where it is practicable to do so.

Our Environmental Management Systems are enforced by managerial vigilance and shall be subject to regular audit and review.
